Description: This was purchased as a used outfit from an antique shop in Thailand in the 1980s. It has been displayed and enjoyed in our home ever since. Downsizing requires that we sell it. It was presented to us as an antique and this seems likely but I’m not a collector or expert. The stitching is amazing. The set includes a bib piece that fits around the neck, covers the chest and hangs over the stomach. This has several metal elements that we were told are silver. There is a long tail coat with extensive stitching particularly on the back of the coat. The third piece is a pair of pants. These were not necessarily worn together and I can't remember if they were presented as a set or if we chose them as individual pieces. Since I have no training in fabric research it has never been cleaned. The fabric is likely cotton. It is assumed it would be displayed as art and not worn. I am not clear if it is woven or embroidered but the stitching detail is amazing. Seller will cover the cost of insuring the full purchase price in shipping insurance.
