Description: This belonged to James Black of Black's Custom Stereo, a legendary electronics sales and repair shop in Wheeling, WV for many decades. It is an extremely rare H.C. Thompson Clock Company Thompson Electric Stop Timer that measures seconds and minutes. H.C. Thompson Clock Company was established in Bristol CT in 1903. Thompson Clock built time related electronics for military applications and also provided clocks to many jewelers, furniture/home furnishing companies, and laboratories to install in their finished products. Mr. Black salvaged this clock from a military instrument panel to use in his electronics laboratory. He replaced the Synchrons 610 clock motor with an original Synchrons replacement when he rewired the clock, not sure when that was. It is in a bakelite case that has cracks on the top from life in a repair shop. It has been tested and it is still working! The dimensions are 5" H X 4.5" W X 3.25" D and weighs roughly two LBS.
