Description: This sale is for a vintage hardcover book titled History of the United States by John Clark Ridpath. It was published by Jones Brothers and Co. in 1876 and is an illustrated first edition. It is approximately 7” wide x 9 3/8" high x 2 1/2" deep. The book is in just fair condition as shown in the photographs. There is no musty smell but there is foxing, chips, stains and bumps on all surfaces including the top and bottoms of the binding also as shown in the photographs. The front and back covers are loose from the binding but still attached and it is very dusty. It comes from a pet and smoke-free home.
