Description: Beautifully made, small coiled basket, made of reed and wrapped with natural spun and dyed yarn from sheep on Navajo reservation. Basket measures approx. 5" in diameter. Purchased in 1970s or early 1980s while visiting relatives in Gallup, NM. This was displayed on a bookshelf for a short time, but then stored during a move and remained in storage for many years. I do not have the artist's name for this item, but it was purchased at a Navajo owned trading post frequented by locals who lived in the Gallup area. From a non-smoking, pet free, climate controlled environment. I'll do my best to pack well and ship promptly.
