Description: Vintage, Hammered Pewter Plate Description and Item Information Up for sale is this vintage pewter plate, charger, or tray. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This plate has a hammered or planished texture, with six elongated repousse areas to the rim. The diameter is approximately 9 3/4 inches, and the height is about 3/8 inch. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 0.2 ounce. This plate would be a lovely addition to a collection of vintage pewter, or it would complement an arts and crafts decor. Identification This item is dated beneath, as shown, 11-26-1930. There also are two additional marks (or touchmarks), as shown. One is diamond-shaped, and it consists of M, M, H, and H. The other mark is a cross-like symbol. The maker of this vintage piece is not known. Condition The plate looks good overall. It has some wear, including scratches. There are a few tiny dark spots. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller typically ships on Mondays and Thursdays, unless a holiday or special circumstance precludes it. The merchandise will be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier. Economy shipping within the U.S. includes delivery to a physical address via an economy shipping method of the seller's choice. At the discretion of the seller, a faster shipping method may be utilized at no additional cost to the buyer. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping and handling costs may be required. For domestic parcels, a signature will be required for delivery if the total payment is $750 or greater; at the discretion of the seller, a signature may be required for delivery if the total payment is less than $750.
