Description: Vintage GRUNDIG Elite Boy 700 Portable Transistor Radio - LW AM FM SW Please do check out the pictures as they show the radio cosmetically better than I can probably describe. Mains powered with integrated power cable or you can load 4 x C type 1.5V batteries into the battery chamber at the base (batteries not included). Tested with mains power only. This radio tunes the LW, AM, FM and SW (6-16 MHz) bands via cylinder tuning knob. Bands selected by buttons on top panel. Please note the top of the aerial pulls out but the rest is nestled in there. Shown in pics. I did get the whole aerial out by hooking the top bit onto the rest of it and coaxing it out. I got a great signal with FM (U) but I’m assuming because of the aerial the other bands were not strong. A loft find this does have some marks and alittle residual dust from its previous life. This is in as found, uncleaned and untampered with condition. Quick wipe with a duster and that’s it. I’m not an expert by any means so please do ask any questions if I’ve missed out anything you’d like to know.
