Description: Vintage Stoneware Crock. Printed on the side is "Grommes & Ullrich, Fine Foods Court House Square, Chicago,1866". Measures 4.75" tall x 6.5" x 6.25". Good lightly used condition. The crock has a little knick on the top-see close up picture, but no other chips, cracks or crazing. There are other areas where glaze air bubbles happened during firing and the glaze did not stick to those areas. The edges of these areas are all smooth as opposed to the small knick that I mentioned before. There is a very tiny black mark on the lip of the crock-see close up. There are also areas on the outside where the glazed dripped down the side during manufacturing and is common with these particular crocks. Right above the glaze drip are two areas on the rim that are rough and tan color. Bottom has minor shelf wear. Nothing major at all with the crock and lid, just needed to mention it as I want you to know what you to know the condition. Please see all pictures for a better understanding of condition.
