Description: Up for sale is a grouping of sketches from life my father did in a notebook WWII era, either during the war when he went to some specific school, maybe radio school in Nebraska if memory serves? Or it could be post WWII when he studied at Oberlin on the GI bill. But judging from the courses I think it was some kind of training school during the war. Wonderful sketches of his professors, it really was his greatest talent and he later became a portrait artist and specialized in doing that at craft fairs in Connecticut in the 1960-70s then Florida and Pennsylvania in the 1980s then Te Anau NZ in winters and Baden Baden Germany in Augusts in the 1990s to early 2000s. Thousands of portraits hang on walls by Stuart. Sketchbook had lines, this same 5 7/8 x 8 3/4" sketchbook he used during the war and post war in Europe as well (most already sold through the years but just unearthed these again last month). My father was very prolific, drawing nearly every day since the age of 14 until about 94 when his eyesight was failing. He passed in 2019. A talented artist whose artwork lives on on our walls and many others worldwide!
