My guess would be that its some kind of French military issue jacket from the early-mid 1900s, but I dont know for sure! That is definitely what it looks like to me. No matter what it is, this jacket is a super sturdy and awesome piece, with a lot of life and character in it. Made of an olive green canvas and beautifully faded with time, this jacket would be great for wear as a costume or in your daily life! There are several large pockets on this piece, perfect for carrying all manner of things! Despite some damage (see condition details), this jacket is amazing and has a lot of life left in it! MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures approximately: 29 inches long 23 inch sleeves 17 inch shoulder ( measured straight across the back seam to seam ) 40 inch chest 42 inch waist CONDITION : This jacket is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. As stated above, this jacket has some damage; there is a rip between the left breast pocket and the armpit seam. Please see photos to understand what I mean. Several of the buttons down the front are missing. This jacket is in wonderful functional condition and has all the signs of time and age that we know and love in an antique textile!
