Fragonard -Handmade in the 70s-Yarn is 100% wool used-Backing is black heavy wool or cotton-5 velvet with gold tabs to hang on wall-Cotton canvas-Subject is a French woman carving initials in a tree. Her dog is sitting there with her in the forest.-20” wide x 35.5” long approximately-Canvas and design made in France***I know the history of this piece. My mother made this . She worked many hours, days on this needlepoint. She used the best of materials and took great pride in the finished piece. I would keep it, but there is really not a place for it in our home. I would much rather someone buys it that would love and display it instead of it sitting in the top of my closet. I am including the bar that it can be hung on. The hardware is included too although it might be missing a screw or two.
