Description: This is an very nice French Art Deco, vase that measures about 6.25" tall and is 6" across at its widest point. The base measures 4" in diameter. The base has a hand-incised model/style cipher "C-5" and is ink-stamped "L' Art Moderne France". The vase has a matte finish and is cream-colored with a chartruese and gold spatter wash which is also quite unusual and distinctive. The piece is an early Art Deco (1920-1925) period when the style was referred to as L' Art Moderne in France just after the Art Nouveau era. The vase is in excellent condition with a few glaze production pops as shown in the photographs. There is one spot near the base which shows a glossy white glaze spot which I'm guessing was from spatter from the adjacent potter at work! This a very unique piece to add to your Deco collection.
