Artist bio — Jeanne Nash is an American artist from Florida. Jeanne began exploring art as a child. Thanks to some rewarding experiences (an award at ten, first sale at twelve), she was inspired to continue. The influences of living around the world, with army parents and as an army wife, show in the uniqueness of her work. While living in Honolulu, she bought her own etching press and soon expanded beyond traditional printmaking. She uses a combination of media and techniques...an unusual blend of textures, embossing, inks and watercolors...to create her art. Today she follows two separate paths of development: the tightly controlled environment of original printmaking and the free spontaneity of brush and watercolor. Even though her Bachelor of Arts is in science, her true love has always been art. She has studied independently and formally...at Randolph-Macon Woman's College, University of Oklahoma, Northern Virginia Community College, Honolulu Academy of Arts and the Atlanta College of Art. She has exhibited in Hawaii and the East Coast and you may find her work in private and corporate collections, and in galleries and shops throughout the United States and Canada.
