It is a framed 3D golden artwork that depicts a 3D icon of the Black Madonna of Czstochowa, also known as Our Lady of Czstochowa.The Madonna, wearing a bejeweled crown and holding baby Jesus, is portrayed against a radiant gold background with intricate detailing.The frame is made of wood and does have a little cracking off pieces because of its age. Text at the bottom of the icon is in Polish and reads, "Pod Twoj Obron Uciekamy Si," which translates to "We Fly to Thy Protection The frame measures 8" X 11". Very nice piece of history.
