Description: Here is a small remnant of vintage Fortuny fabric in the Persiano pattern. I believe this is the Seafoam colorway, but since this was woven many years ago, I am not sure if it will match a modern Seafoam! Piece is roughly 14"x8.5". No flaws that I can see. Feels like cotton twill. This likely dates from the 1960s or 1970s. The dense decoration, geometric layout, and elegant and harmonious Persian art style inspired many of Mariano Fortuny’s designs. PERSIANO is an 18th-century design that combines a sweet, abstract floral motif in a repetitive grid pattern that creates a dramatic backdrop at any scale.
