Description: The ATC-510 Personal Flight Simulator was manufactured in the 1970s by Analog Training Computers Inc. The full unit includes a simulated instrument panel and a pair of rudder pedals. ATC Inc. also sold simulated flight exercises on cassette tapes, which students would follow by responding to simulated air traffic instructions. (Note: The tapes are not included but can be purchased separately on eBay.) Designed to replicate the instrument panel of a basic light aircraft, the ATC-510 features a simulated transponder, nav/comm suite, and automatic direction finder. It was intended as both an introductory training tool and a means to help pilots maintain their instrument proficiency. With an FAA letter of authorization, time spent on the unit could be logged toward certain Part 61 and Part 141 training requirements. Please note that I cannot guarantee it is currently operational due to potential compatibility concerns. However, after a proper restoration, it could serve as a fantastic man cave decoration or a valuable collectible. The unit is available for local pickup only in 91362 CA.
