It has a lift arm mechanism to hold cigarettes in place - (hard to find). This item is preowned and in Very Good preowned condition. It has not been tested. Please see photos, as they are part of the description. The only issues that I can find are the few spots that you can see in the photos, and the fork is very hard to push down
