Description: ***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - The manual wind movement loses about 3 minutes by the end of its approximate 37 hour power reserve period. While the date wheel rolls over as it should the day wheel is stuck and does not. Given these issues a complete overhaul is required.***********This seldom seen vintage 1970's Endura has under the heavily scratched crystal what appears to be a near pristine silver "SWISS MADE T J.J." signed dial and the lume, which remains fully intact, no longer glows after being exposed to bright light. The Pepsi bezel, which shows wear and rotates smoothly bidirectionally, presents nicely. The chrome-plated case shows honest wear and brassing. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "BASE METAL BEZEL AND INDICATOR SWISS MADE STAINLESS STEEL BACK." The crystal needs to be replaced. While I normally show pictures of the movements of watches I put up for sale the case back on this particular watch is torqued too tight for me to remove. The manual wind movement with semi-quickset date function runs strong, albeit slow, and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The day wheel does is stuck and does not roll over. The semi-quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After winding the brassed, non-screwdown crown 35 full revolutions the movement lost about 3 minutes by the end of its approximate 37 hour power reserve period. The crown winds with an appropriate amount of tension. While the crown/stem unit is solidly intact to my eyes it looks like the crown may be on a smidge unevenly. You can make this determination from pictures 20 and 21. Given the issues mentioned a complete overhaul is required. This watch measures approximately 40 mm excluding the crown, approximately 43 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11 mm. A complete overhaul is required. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. For this watch that time is now. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 23 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch. Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided. Thanks for looking!***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - The manual wind movement loses about 3 minutes by the end of its approximate 37 hour power reserve period.
