The madame is known for her eclectic taste in miniatures and she traveled to shows around the world to find all of the little treasures we are sharing with you. This is an enchanting little Shoe & Handbag Boutique Shop diorama, fully dressed and ready to go on display with dolls! It is a wooden base with a pair of columns and it is wired with electric lights that illuminate with batteries. It has a large mirror, tile floors, acrylic displays and lots of tiny contemporary themed women's accessories. The artist is a design studio located in Japan called Sanfesto. Sanfesto makes original one-of-a-kind dollhouses incorporating special mechanisms and music players, and they do their work on special commission. What a fun piece where all of the hard work has already been done for you! For many years I have enjoyed a friendship with Madam Y. Her love of miniatures and her vast knowledge of artisans was something that we enjoyed talking about. Over the years I watched in awe as her collection continuously grew, she even had to expand her beautiful home on the sea just to house her collection of some of the finest miniatures in the world. When she decided to sell her collection, she contacted me so that I could tell her story and the story of each piece she has acquired, over all these years. Her hope is to find a home and share the story of every single piece. We have just begun to receive the boxes, all wrapped so well as they were all very special to her. She wanted others to know these incredible artisans, many she has met in person, from countries all over the globe and it is her hope that you will get to know them too, as we list them one by one.
