Description: One of the best worm drive reels, made in West Germany. This is the relatively rare 1000 size reel, weighs 225g. Everything is in fine working order and I've serviced it personally last year (including installing some new bits for the trip mechanism). I am just a hobbyist though, so it can probably be made smoother still with a proper service from someone more experienced. One thing to note is the original plastic cap on the opposite side of the handle was lost by the first owner. Replacements are almost impossible to track down so it has a glued temporary fix to avoid dirt getting in the gears. I am the second owner of this reel. And I've used the reel occasionally over the years. So it does show some signs of wear. Please see photos for more details.
