Description: This is a sign made by Tom Taber for Ducks Unlimited. It has a carved decoy of a Redhead Drake mounted on a plaque. The sign reads, "The Duck Hunter is 'Gone' or 'Home." There is a wooden plate that can be turned over to indicate whichever place he/she is. It has a painted Tom Taber signature and is dated 1988-1989. The sign and Decoy both are in virtually like new condition but the Decoy does have a couple small blemishes which are visible in the photos. Typical of Tom Taber Decoys, which were also very sought after in the 80's and 90's, it is carved from distressed wood. It has a number of worm holes which are also visible in the photos. The sign is made from some type of particle board. It measures 18 x 24 inches and weighs nearly 9 pounds. (That includes the Decoy which is attached with a screw.) These signs were typically auctioned at a Ducks Unlimited Banquet and were very sought after then. And they are still are today. They do look great in a Man Cave, Cabin, Lodge, or Den. The Red Head Decoy Sign is quite uncommon and very difficult to find. We like the 'Gone' option because there are times when you do not want everyone to know where you might really be. We can ship this sign inexpensively within the U.S. and accept returns for any reason. (Note: There were a bit of a variety of this sign in various sizes.
