Description: THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY AUCTION. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND MY POLICIES BEFORE PLACING YOUR BID.Check out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list! This listing is for a vintage C.G. Conn Ltd. tenor saxophone. It is a model 10M, more commonly known as a 'Naked Lady' due to the iconic engraving on the bell. This is a first generation 10M, which features rolled tone holes. The serial number is 306,xxx, which indicates a c.1942 production date. If you have been on the search for a primo 10M, look no further! This horn is in excellent physical, cosmetic, and playing condition. It has never sustained any serious damage. The original lacquer is almost fully intact. It has had a recent re-pad and is in very good adjustment. This horn plays great. It has a dark tone that can fill any room! Read on for details about its condition. This horn is in very good condition all around. The body is straight. The neck might have just a tiny bit of pull down, which could be easily corrected. There are a few tiny nicks, but no significant dents or dings, and no signs of past dent work. The curvature of the bow guard has not been distorted, nor has the rim of the bell been bent. The low Eb key guard is slightly bent, but the rest are perfectly straight. It looks like one end of the neck brace was resoldered, but I don't see any other resoldered joints. The original lacquer is almost fully intact. It has minor wear, and scratches/scuffs consistent with normal use, but overall this horn looks great for its age! The engraving is nice and sharp. The keys are all moving freely and rebounding properly. The action is nice and light. The rollers are all turning. This horn has low mileage on a relatively recent re-pad. It has all matching Selmer style pads with plastic button resonators. They are nice and clean, and sealing properly with a light touch. Of course, you might want to get it checked by your own tech and tweaked to your preferences, but most players will find it more than satisfactory as is. This sax comes in its original wood shell case with a clarinet tray built into the lid of the accessory compartment. The case is in overall very good condition. It is good and solid with none of the joints coming apart. The handle is wrapped in electrical tape. The latches still spring open. The neck compartment needs to be tacked down on own side, and the clarinet tray/lid is a little loose. There is normal light wear and tear to the interior, and it is odor free. There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included, except for the original brass end plug. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks again for looking! CElot
