Description: This is a truly beautiful 1970's painted silk-faced geisha doll with fine pliable plastics hands holding a parasol. Her stance and facial expression are unique in a marketplace that seems to be overflowing with Nishi dolls of lesser quality. Her kimono is a stunning orchid purple with hand painted Fall maple leaves holding fresh snow. The doll's painted face, hair and ornaments are is great condition, as are the geta she wears on her feet. There is some damage to the silk crepe kimono lining which is tucked beneath the outer layer and invisible to the eye. If you are a collector of post-WWII Japanese dolls this would make quite a conversation starter in any space.
