Description: c. 1970s-1980s Vintage painted metal horse-themed base ride. Coin-op rides such as these have been popular additions to grocery stores and food courts for the better half of the last century. As the name would suggest, once a coin is inserted into the bank, the machine starts off, typically in a gentle rocking motion. This particular piece depicts a galloping horse, likely the most popular and iconic of the kiddie rides. It comes in a bright shade of red and features black and white painted embellishments along the saddle and reins. Exhibits minor signs of cosmetic wear including chipped paint.
