Description: This vintage Certified Brand aspirin purse tin is in excellent condition with no dents, no scratches, no corrosion. The paint is not faded. The printing on the front of the tin says "Certified BRAND 12 TABLETS ASPIRIN FIVE GRAINS EACH U.S.P." and "DISTRIBUTED BY A & S PHARMACEUTICAL CORP. BRIDGEPORT, CONN. 06604" and also Copyright 1939. This tin still contained 12 aspirin tablets when I opened it but I disposed of them because they were starting to swell and crumble a bit. Somewhat surprisingly, the interior finish of the tin seems to have been completely unaffected by this. The only evidence I can see that this tin is used is that there are some small spots along the edges of the tin where the paint is worn and also where the bumps on the inside of the lid rub across the detent on the lower part of the case when the lid is opened and closed. This is completely normal wear and is very minimal. Examine the photos carefully and you'll see what I mean. I did not notice this myself when looking the case over directly. It's much more visible in the blown up macro photos than it is with the unaided eye. I took photos from multiple angles so you can see exactly what you'll be getting if you decide to purchase this item.
