Description: This plate has been passed down to my wife from her mother. In fact, her mother’s – mother might have originally purchased it, but my wife is not sure as they have passed. Since my wife no longer wants it, I am selling it used on eBay. The condition I consider to be good; however, please see the photos with the pink arrows which shows some defects in the plate. In short some of the gold has worn off, there are some minor marks on the back of the plate, and the plate has some minor defects obtained when the plate was made. Note: Doing some research on the plate I noticed that is DID NOT have the “Century by Salem” back-stamp, it only states “MADE IN U.S.A. WARRANTED 23 KARAT ENCRUSTED GOLD.” I am not a plate expert, but I feel this could be a “knockoff” Century by Salem plate since it does not have the back-stamp that states “Century by Salem.” I could be wrong, but according to google this is one sign that a dish is a “knockoff.”
