Description: Empty round lithographed (not a paper label) tin container for White Villa Pure Spice brand, containing Pickling Spices, and made by The Cincinnati Wholesale Grocery Co., in Cincinnati, Ohio and Dayton, Ohio. This is the 2 ounce size, measuring 2" in diameter x 4" tall. Original lid. White Villa produced a number of different labels on its spice tins over the years and this is one of the early examples-you can tell by looking at the car in the scene with the house. Undated but based on the age of the car, my guess is that this is from the 1930's. Same image on the front and the back. Condition is extremely good-I really have no problems to point out. There are a few round early White Villa tins on ebay-they do not appear to be in as good condition as my tin and their total price is higher than mine.
