Description: Vintage Bowie Knife Dog Head With Glass Eyes 11 1/8” oal with 6 1/4” long 1/4” thick carbon steel blade and guard. Unknown handle material I think is wood or bone. It’s very hard and has natural grains you can see in pictures. Guard is loose , scabbard has a hole and tip is missing. Probably German or Austrian turn of the century but have never got a definitive answer when showed to other collectors. It has been in my personal collection for 20 years and I wish I knew more about it but it’s one I bought because I liked it.
