Works, tested. Imagine this with a cute shade! Cord needs better cleaning than I gave it, estate find, nonsmoking home. Lamp base has pretty pattern as does the bowl that held lamp oil back in the day. No cracks no chips, the underside of the base has some fleabites you can feel when you run finger across but you cannot see them, the bowl part of lamp is cloudy inside. Lamp 12.5 in tall to top of socket, base 5 in wide, bowl 6 ¼ in wide, lamp 9 ¼ in tall to where the metal of the socket area starts. This lamp is 154 years old!!! You may want to have it rewired to be safe, shipped in a box this is heavy
