They are a copper overlay on metal. Each measures approx. 4 3/4” wide x 5” tall x 3 1/4” deep and are heavy enough to hold several books. This pair of vintage bookends would make a wonderful addition to a collection of riding horses or for an equestrian enthusiast. They display quite nicely on bookcases, a mantel or an accent table. This is a pair of vintage Arts & Crafts copper overlay / clad bookends that features a deep raised image of a horse & rider jumping over an obstacle wall in a steeplechase run. The bookend fronts are 5 inches by 4 3/4 inches. The bottoms are semi-covered in thin felt (some worn away with age)and the back of the fronts are covered in thick felt also mostly worn off.
