Description: This is an amazing book, especially for it's age. The preface begins "The Commentaries of Caesar are widely used as the best introduction to the study of classical Latin. The purity and simplicity of the diction and the importance of the subject matter justify this usage." The outside binding, while old and possibly at some time had moisture damage is still fairly tight. The pages themselves are in really great condition including the fold out map on the inside of the front book board. The writing in the photos is on the last page of the book and the one page states "Anna Mullen Seattle High School Sept '12". It also shows the only torn page I can find in the book. A book with some history certainly. Thanks for looking.
