Description: Original vintage ship drawing blueprint numbered and signed by yacht designer L. Francis Herreshoff for the schooner "Marco Polo" (LOA 55', LWL 48'9, BEAM 10', DRAFT 5'6), design #85. One of a set of 22 drawings, this one is #5: the fore, main, and mizzen boom plans. Very big- measures 40"W x 27"H. Even if you aren't looking to build a ship, this would look great framed! The color is a deep blue with a beautiful vintage patina. Other plans for different sections of the same vessel are listed separately if interested. Condition as seen in pics and also described below. PLEASE READ RE CONDITION:Although not dated, all 22 drawings are original vintage, not new. Done on real blueprint drawing paper, the condition indicates that they're are older, perhaps from the 1940s (?). However, this is not my area of expertise and I can't say for certain if they're the actual plans made and signed by L. Francis Herreshoff or just really good, but still vintage, reproductions. From my (non expert) research, Herreshoff designed the Marco Polo in 1946 for a "How to Build" series in Rudder Magazine. Condition of the 22 plans is mostly good. A few have small tears (especially at the fold creases) and/or a couple of other nicks/scuffs/marks. Pics in listing should clearly show the imperfections, but if you have any questions please message me.
