See photos for condition details. About Bitaon magazine:Bitaon Air Force is the official magazine of the Israeli Air Force, covering a wide range of topics on Israeli and global aviation. Published bi-monthly, the magazine operates as an Air Force unit, with articles written, photographed, and designed by soldiers on active duty, alongside civilian IDF employees who have experience in media and communications. In addition to the magazine, Bitaon Air Force staff are responsible for maintaining and updating the Air Force’s website. Founded in September 1948, the magazine has evolved alongside advancements in printing technology. Initially black and white, it transitioned to full color in the early 1990s, and today is printed on high-quality chromo (photo paper). Bitaon Air Force offers readers a variety of content, including Air Force news, historical articles, global aviation developments, and a section for reader inquiries. Though part of a military organization, Bitaon Air Force operates as an independent economic unit. In 1991, when Chief of Staff Ehud Barak sought to close most military publications, Bitaon Air Force was one of only three that remained in print, largely due to its financial independence from the Ministry of Defense.
