Description: Vintage Asian Paper Parasol With Wood Frame Bluebirds Blue Jays & Cherry Blossom. Do not know much about this parasol. I've included a photo of what appears to be a maker's mark, or artist's signature. I believe this is made out of paper and the wood is probably bamboo, but not entirely sure on the wood. Parasol fans out and retracts back as it should. When folded up it is 23" long. When fully out the diameter is roughly 36". There is one small tear measuring two inches long. Please see picture. This is the only damage that I can see. Aside from that it is in very nice shape. Images on fan are still very crisp. Maker's mark is legible if you can readd the language. I do not know country of origin, but I'm guessing Japan. Paper does not seem too worn. It opens and closes with ease. Very nice piece of art.
