Description: Vintage Art Deco gold-washed pot metal two-piece jabot / hat pin. Open-back honey amber topaz crystals in various cuts are surrounded by tiny clear crystals in a mirror-image design. Classic construction: the bar linking the two halves unscrews from one side; the wearer would then insert the pin bar through a neckcloth (for the gentlemen) or a hat ( for the ladies). These were especially employed for the emblematic Art Deco hat -- the cloche. This is a piece of sartorial history, with rich and resonant color and tons of sparkle. The pin mechanism functions perfectly and securely. Overall, 4.75"W by 2"L. From my longtime collection of thousands of pieces... time to let them go to new homes!
