I used to go digging for bottles in Yonkers, NY & have since then decided to sell my collection (there's just not enough room left after I downsized) Embossed on the side is "salt rheum" etc meaning that it is used for any of various cutaneous eruptions especially eczema....and also embossed is "for chapped hands". This beautiful Holmes "medicine" lotion bottle is around 4 1/2" tall and is clear. The seams indicate that it's from the late 1800's. Please see my photographs...
