Description: Vintage antique Wood base, silver metal Ink Well. The hinge on the well cap is in prefect working condition. Stays upright/open when in use if desired. The metal well is removable from the wood base for easy filling. It sits flush in the wood base. The wood base is open on the bottom. I am guessing the wood is Walnut, or perhaps a Rosewood. The metal is either silver or stainless steel. There is some discoloration on the bottom of the metal, it is strong and not porous in any manner. Sorry, I am not an expert. From our family estate.
