Description: Vintage Antique Elgin GF Hunting Case Pocket Watch Runs ETC10296 This watch movement serial #13842675 was made in 1909. It’s a 3 /4 plate gold guilt 7 jewel 6s size watch. Thats 42 millimeter or just over 1 1 /2 inches across. The watchcase is 20-year gold filled hunting case that has 3 hinged openings with the stem position being at 3 o’clock. This watch shows moderate use. All 3 openings are nice and tight which they should be for a watch that was carried but not opened much. But the front dial cover does not open like it should without pressing hard on the stem. So, you will want to get that fixed and have the watch serviced… The mechanical (winding type) (115) year old watch winds, runs and keeps accurate time over the 24 hours I timed it. Note: carrying or wearing these types of mechanical watches helps keeps them running on time.
