The plates also have a lip which comes up around the sides so it creates almost like a slight bowl effect to help keep food from sliding. There are actually two slightly different patterns for the plates. However they are so complimentary that they are absolutely interchangeable. They're exactly the same size shape, everything, Just a slightly different pattern of how the grape pattern sits. There are 11 with the all over and nine of the ones with it more along the edge.
