Vintage American Tourister Tiara Hat Box; Admiral Blue W/Floral Int; ID Tag/Key

Description: This beautiful round hat box travel luggage case is the Tiara by American Tourister. The hat box is made of sturdy hard vinyl in an admiral blue color with a silver tone band all around the lid held on by antique hardware on the bottom. Has a sturdy admiral blue colored top handle held on by antique hardware and four hard plastic admiral blue colored peg feet on the bottom for protection. The hat box has two push lock mechanisms on the side of the lid and a working lock mechanism in the center. The American Tourister metal logo emblem is attached at the top and also the decorative Tiara emblem. Attached to the handle by a ball beaded chain is an American Tourister luggage tag with a blank ID card inside. Also included is a vintage silver luggage key which works perfectly to lock and unlock the case. The interior of the case and lid are completely lined in a beautiful light and dark blue floral quilted material with a gathered pocket in the center side and four white satin ribbon ties attached to the bottom to hold down items. The lid is edged all around with a sweet gathered ruffle. The case is heavy at just over 4 pounds and the dimensions are 16” across standing, 6 1/2” wide, 22” high standing including the handle and the interior is approximately 49” around and 4” deep. This Tiara hat box luggage case was produced by American Tourister in the early 1960’s and it is in wonderful vintage condition. Due to age, there are a few faint markings on the exterior but there are no chips, cracks, holes, deep scratches or stains anywhere on the exterior. The interior is in amazingly beautiful condition with only a few light marks on the bottom sides and on the white ribbon ties. There are no tears, rips or holes anywhere on the interior, no uplifted areas, and no staining or odors. See all photos.
