Description: Vintage American Legion 1938, Endicott, NY Department Convention Pin "TRIPLE CITIES AGAIN IN '38". Manufactured by Astan Bros.Co, 3-1/2" pin This is a great piece of Pre-WW2 American Legion history. The "Triple Cities" tag line references the triple cities of, Endicott, NY, Johnson City, NY, and Binghamton, NY. Posts 82, 758, and 80 respectively. All three posts were, for the most part, founded by Geo. F. Johnson. The New York Times reported on August 4th, 1938 that 30,000 Legionnaires were going to gather in Endicott for the Department Convention. This pin was part of that convention. This pin has come a long way since the 1938 convention in Endicott. A very unique, one of a kind artifact of the American Legion.
