Description: Vintage Allied Eastern fashion / play doll made of vinyl and plastic, jointed shoulders and hips so arms and legs move and head also swivels at neck with eyes that open and close. Manufacture date is likely the 1950s but this particular doll line was made between 1940-1969. It is 16” tall, with a light complexion and was made by Allied Grand (also known as Allied Eastern). It is marked AE 405 16 on the back of the neck. The doll is highlighted by its striking yellow gold eyes, its light brown hair, red lips and faux pearl drop earrings. No apparel. Condition: Very good vintage used condition; sleep eyes work as intended and have a few grime flecks of grime and just a tiny bit of haze. Hair is slightly creased and appears in original set with one separated strand on the back of doll’s head. Face paint is good. Torso plastic is darker than limbs and head. Left front thigh, left back thigh and left wrist have faint marks each (see photos). Finger and toenail paint is present, not sure if it’s original. Doll has a faint powder scent from items it was stored with. Earrings have small chips to the faux pearl finish. No greening. Mild grime overall.
