The checker book is hardback and uses traditional checker notation; the chess book is softcover and is in algebraic notation. The set is a Drueke pocket set. The board is 4 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches, each square is 1/2 by 1/2 of an inch; Kings are 1/2 inch tall. There is also a checker set. Please note that the pieces are bit mismatched, especially the red checker pieces--three red chess rooks are in place of missing red checker knights. Pieces are plastic, board is wood. Fun for those who are locked in! We combine shipping-to combine, put everything in a basket and then ask for an invoice.
