The collectible plates were endorsed by the American Audobon Society in New York & made available for retail in the late 1930's and 1940's. Up for sale is a set of 7 plates, each with a different colored bird design measuring 8 inches in diameter. They have an embossed, wide floral rim in a creamy white, produced of ironstone china.The coloring is clean and bright. They would make a stunning wall or table setting display for the bird enthusiest or collector.
