He's also got a knack for being a bit boisterous, which might just be a side effect of his armored exterior and rock-solid skull. This Autobot isn't one to shy away from a challenge, especially when it comes to his favorite pastime: blowing things to smithereens with his trusty main gun. Whether it's cryogenic, acid, thermal, or sonic rounds, Warpath always has the perfect ammo for the job. But his real love is for the simple explosive shells that bring a thunderous KABOOM! with every shot.Warpath's gun is more than just a weapon, it's a part of him. It's saved his life time and time again, and he only settles for the best when it comes to its care. Precision is key, and there's no greater satisfaction than taking out a barely visible target with a single, well-placed shell. Warpath takes pride in his accuracy, and even the slightest scratch to his gun's barrel is enough to keep him up all night, polishing it to perfection. And heaven forbid his gun should suffer serious damage, as Warpath becomes nearly inconsolable until it's back in fighting form.Don't let the name fool you, Warpath isn't one for gentle gestures. With a hearty HAHAHAHAHAHA!, this Autobot is ready to rumble and bring the noise. Action figure information for reference purposes only:Warpath, the Autobot Mini Vehicle, hit the shelves in 1985 as part of Generation 1's second series. He transforms into a tiny yet mighty General Motors M551 Sheridan Armored Recon/Airborne Assault Vehicle, straight out of the Vietnam era. This maroon-red machine was almost a part of Takara's Microman: Microchange line, created by the legendary designer Akio Kitamura, but the line's cancellation in early 1984 kept him from being released. Unlike the Diaclone toys, Warpath was designed to resemble a toy vehicle rather than a real one, leading to his slightly distorted proportions - which are still pretty accurate, given the M551 Sheridan was already a mini tank with a disproportionate gun. Warpath was patented on October 25, 1984, as the "Reconfigurable toy tank" (AKA Transformers G1 Warpath, U.S. Patent No. USD290630 S).Warpath's design is all about simplicity, with silver tracks and roadwheels providing the only color highlights. He's got hidden wheels under his tank mode to let him roll freely, and his transformation is a breeze, just like the other Minibots of 1985. Extend the front, rotate to form legs and feet, pull out the arms, flip up the head, and boom! You've got yourself a robot. And don't forget, the date stamp is at the bottom of the front, and the rub-sign is at the top center of the front tank hull.
