Description: Description What a special treat for Christmas this year! I have recently acquired a lot of vintage 1968 Christmas calendars ( this listing features Santa) on cut out, stand up figures of a "Scottish Highlander". These cards are "New Old Stock" (NOS), never used and include the original envelopes, cardboard backing and plastic wrapping. The Scotsman stands 8" high and he's dressed in green Christmas plaid with red shirt, black hat and boots. He is made of heavy card stock and carries a foil walking stick (or perhaps it is a musical wind instrument?). There is a tab on the back that allows the figure to stand and there also is a hole at the top so that he can be hung as an ornament. The 1968 calendar with Santa says "Season's Greetings" and is attached to his waist. It measures 1-7/8" x 1-3/8". A label on the back of most of these figures reads: "Little Mister" N. D 101 Scottish Highlander A Melisande Original Studio Tratto-- Milan (Italy) These vintage card calendars are in excellent "New Old Stock" condition with no tears, holes, writing or creases. Although the original envelope, cardboard backing and plastic wrapping is included, many of the envelopes and cardboard are yellowed, stained or warped (but it should be noted that at 8-5/8" x 4-3/8" they are just a bit smaller than a standard legal envelope) and the plastic wrap is somewhat brittle and may be torn. I also need to let you know that the calendars are fragile and may need to be re-glued if you try to open them. They are, after all, more than 50 years old!
