Description: Vintage 7 3/4" Wooden Coffin Plane. Military 2 1/2" Jukes Coulson Stokes Blade. Lovely coffin plane with a 2 1/2" blade. Stamped on the plane:Owners stamp: Hayles. Stamped on the blade:Jukes Coulson Stoke & Co.Û Military Broad Arrow.Warranted Cast Steel. Stamped on the cap iron:A. Mathieson & SonCrescent & Star logo.Steel.Warranted.Glasgow. It has been cleaned and sympathetically restored by my dad. It does have some age related marks but overall it is in a great condition and could be used.Please note - While the blade is sharp it will need honing before use.
