Description: This Vintage 50s PIC Solingen Germany Fixed Blade Hunting Skinner Knife & Sheath is in very good, clean condition overall and only shows expected signs of age and wear. The blade is marked "PIC SOLINGEN GERMANY" as well as being stamped with a "Mountain & Pickaxe" hallmark on the reverse side of the ricasso. PIC, Precise Instrument Company, was a large importer of knives from Germany and Japan during the 50s and 60s. The blade has lost it's original factory edge and shows clear evidence of wear from past use. The bone handle is in very good, clean condition and no cracks or other obvious damage can be detected. Of note, one of the plastic spaces has been damaged and it appears that a small piece of wood has been added to allow the pommel to tighten. The aluminum pommel shows mild wear as does the brass nut, but pieces still function as you would expect. The leather sheath is in good condition overall and however expected traces of age and wear from use are present. Of note, the sheath is clearly stamped "CASE XX" and though not original to the knife it still securely retains it. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of contents and their condition.
