Description: Genuine Vintage 1950's Jaeger LeCoultre Wrist Alarm Solid 14k Yellow Gold Case Original Dial with K814 Movement. Pre-owned Condition. This watch is an original example of a rare solid 14K gold variation of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Wrist Alarm, later known as the Memovox (Memovox as with the later 1960's models). What makes this watch rare as it's solid gold case, with less than 1% of production being in solid gold- these are very tough to acquire. Solid 14K yellow gold case has minor scratches and still in good condition, measuring approximately 35mm across, excluding the matching signed crowns and 40mm in overall length. Inside the case back marked CASE AND TIMED IN U.S.A. BY LECOULTRE, STAR WATCH CASE, 14 KARAT GOLD 2012-SW and serial #2787811. The original Arabic 3-6-9 two tone dial has aged patina and matching dial original dauphine hands. The crowns are typically unsigned on these earlier pieces, but it is unknown if these are the original crowns or if they had been replaced at some point in time. The high quality 17 jewels manual winding movement cal.K 814, running strongly and keeping time. However it has not been machine/time tested and service history unknown so we can't guarantee accuracy of vintage watch as they may need cleaning or servicing. Vintage watches may gain or lose a small amount of time per day as they do not keep quartz accuracy.
