Description: Vintage 5-Strand Lightweight Eloxal Aluminum Link Chain Necklace - West Germany This necklace is silver in color as you can see in a couple of the photos. The lighting was not perfect for the few that show it a different color. This beautiful necklace has five strands of patterned chains, made of Eloxal aluminum which is exceptionally lightweight. The box clasp is lovely, with textured filigree on the top. The chains are of similar length measuring about 24 inches. The back of the clasp is marked "WEST GERMANY". Eloxal jewelry ("electrolytic oxidation of aluminum") was made mostly from the 1940s to 1960s and generally pieces made from it are marked "Germany" or "West Germany."
