Description: A late 1940s or early 50s layered tulle ball gown in a sophisticated colorway of maroon (or burgundy) over green. Boned, sweetheart bodice embellished with black beads and iridescent paillettes. Tulle straps can be worn tucked in for a strapless look. Defined and peaked waist. Full skirt is shown over a small crinoline, not included. Two layers of burgundy tulle over a third layer of more substantial green netting. Fully lined in pale mocha. Metal Talon side zip with hook&eye. From the Sherman estate.
